"I read every ingredient list for my skincare but never once checked my toothpaste. This is the first oral care product where I actually understood what each ingredient does."

Think about how much your skincare routine has changed in the last 10 years.

You use retinol because it speeds up cell turnover, fights aging and repairs damage.

You use vitamin C to brighten and protect.

You know the sun ages your skin every single day, so SPF isn't optional. It's your barrier.

You read ingredient lists. You know a structured routine is what actually works.

Now think about your oral care.

It's the same legacy toothpaste and mouthwash brands your grandparents used. Your dentist gives you the same advice you got when you were 6: brush, rinse, brush again.

And yet chances are you still deal with some form of cavities, sensitivity, bad breath that keeps coming back, or bleeding gums.

It's not because you're doing it wrong. It's because nobody told you about the other 23 hours.

Here's what nobody explains about your oral care routine

Look at a normal day:

7am · Brush

8am · Coffee

11am · Snack

12pm · Lunch

3pm · Afternoon coffee

7pm · Wine with dinner

10pm · Brush

Every time you eat or sip, acid, sugar and staining hit your enamel again. And for all the hours in between, your teeth are left unsupported.

4 minutes of brushing. 23 hours and 56 minutes of everything else.

Brushing twice a day matters, but on its own, it isn't enough. It's like using retinol at night and skipping SPF during the day. You're repairing at night and leaving the barrier exposed all day.

Brushing was only one piece of the routine. The hours between brushes are the piece oral care has been missing.

Then NASA found the missing ingredient

NASA-themed illustration showing nano-hydroxyapatite and four stages from weakened to strong enamel

In the 1970s, NASA developed a synthetic version of nano-hydroxyapatite to help astronauts hold on to tooth and bone mineral in zero gravity.

97% of your enamel is made of this one mineral.

Japan saw the potential. It's been using nano-hydroxyapatite in oral care for over 40 years and even approved it as an anti-cavity ingredient. Today it's used in over 70 countries, and Japan has some of the lowest rates of childhood cavities in the world.

But there's a catch. In toothpaste, it only gets two minutes on your teeth, twice a day.

Why gum is the best way to care for your teeth between brushes

Most people think of gum as candy. But sugar-free gum, used the right way, is one of the most overlooked tools in oral care.

  • Chewing boosts saliva, your mouth's natural defense.

  • Saliva washes away food and neutralizes acid after every coffee, snack and meal.

  • It works anywhere, with no sink needed.

Now pair that with the right minerals, and gum becomes a delivery system. It nourishes your teeth with what they need and supports a healthy oral microbiome, in the exact hours your toothbrush can't reach.

Up to 30 minutes of contact from a single piece.

Gum was never really about fresh breath. Done right, it's the missing step in your oral care routine.

Why Nothing You've Tried Has Worked.

Bathroom sink with toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, gum, a toothbrush, and an upcoming dental checkup note

Most oral care products are either cosmetic or temporary. They mask the problem for an hour, but they don't get to the root of it.

Whitening toothpaste. It only works twice a day, for two minutes, and it whitens mostly by scrubbing. Nothing happens between brushings.

Mouthwash. It keeps your breath fresh for an hour, then dries your mouth out and kills the good bacteria along with the bad. It works against your mouth.

Normal gum. It's the right format with nothing useful in it. Sugar feeds the bacteria, and the synthetic base puts microplastics in your mouth.

Water after coffee. It's better than nothing. It rinses, but it adds nothing back.

Brushing right after coffee. This is actually the worst option. Acid softens your enamel, and then you scrub it.

What's missing: most products mask the problem or work against your mouth. Your teeth need something biocompatible that works with your routine and keeps working between brushes.

Skincare figured this out years ago

Good skincare doesn't pretend you can avoid damage. Sun, pollution and everyday life are going to hit your skin no matter what you do.

So it works on a deeper level instead. Retinol and vitamin C restore the early damage that builds up through the day, before it turns into a bigger problem. And they work with your skin, not against it.

Your teeth deal with the same thing. Coffee, food and acid hit your enamel every few hours. You can't avoid that. What you can do is restore the early damage as it happens, with something your teeth recognize.

Oral care finally caught up to skincare. That's why I recommend Larineco™ Remineralizing Gum.

Larineco™ pairs nano-hydroxyapatite with xylitol, the same way your skincare pairs retinol with vitamin C. One rebuilds, one protects, and together they help reverse and protect against the damage everyday life leaves behind.

Larineco™ Remineralizing Gum boxes beside coffee and breakfast

Role

Skincare

Larineco™

What it does

The rebuilder

Retinol

Nano-hydroxyapatite

Retinol rebuilds skin from deep in the dermis. Nano-hydroxyapatite replaces the minerals acid strips from your enamel and repairs the surface.

The protector

Vitamin C

Xylitol

Vitamin C shields skin from UV damage. Xylitol starves the bacteria that produce the acid that wears down enamel.

The result

Firmer, smoother skin

Stronger, smoother, whiter teeth

Both repair the barrier instead of masking the damage.

It's biocompatible. Nano-hydroxyapatite is the same mineral your enamel is made of, so your teeth recognize it. It bonds to the surface instead of rinsing away, fills in microscopic rough spots and rebuilds the enamel structure.

The two work together. Xylitol starves harmful bacteria and boosts saliva, which raises the pH in your mouth. That gives nano-hydroxyapatite the right environment to bond and rebuild.

Illustration comparing skincare ingredients with nano-hydroxyapatite and xylitol in oral care

It fits the gap. One piece keeps working for up to 30 minutes, right after the coffee, snack or wine that causes the damage.

It's natural down to the base. Chicle, mastic, myrrh and acacia are real tree resins, not plastic polymers. Myrrh also helps lift surface stains while you chew.

It repairs instead of stripping. No peroxide. No fluoride. No sugar. No synthetic polymers. Fourteen flavours.

Chew one after coffee, wine or a meal. That's the whole routine.

Here's what happens in the first 12 weeks

Three-panel tooth illustration labeled Demineralized, Mineral Deposit, and Remineralized

WEEKS 0 TO 4

Your mouth feels like you just brushed. Your breath stays minty fresh, and less sensitivity starts to kick in as nano-hydroxyapatite coats your teeth and delivers the minerals they need to stay healthy and strong.

WEEKS 4 TO 8

The mineral deposits build up, so your teeth feel smoother and look brighter. Daily chewing cleanses your teeth and lifts stains, while xylitol fights the bacteria and takes the stickiness out of plaque.

WEEKS 8 TO 12

Your enamel is restored and your mouth is rebalanced, as fewer harmful bacteria and acids are able to multiply. Now your teeth are thriving in a healthy environment, and they feel stronger, whiter and healthier than ever.

Results vary. This is daily enamel support, not a treatment or a replacement for brushing. It is not another step at the sink. It is the step you can actually do at 3pm.

ok real question, is nano-hydroxyapatite actually better than fluoride or just different? I keep seeing it everywhere now

Natalie Brooks (Author) · Reply · 1 hour ago

Hi Lauren, they're just different. Nano-hydroxyapatite is the same mineral your enamel is made of, so it works with what's already there. Keep using your toothpaste as normal. This is for the hours between brushes.

Kevin D. · 3 hours ago

How many of these are you supposed to chew a day?

Natalie Brooks (Author) · Reply · 2 hours ago

Hi Kevin, most readers chew 2 to 4 a day, usually after coffee and meals. That's when it does the most. The xylitol helps stop bacteria from feeding on what you just ate, and the nano-hydroxyapatite helps restore the minerals your enamel loses to acid. Your teeth get cleaned naturally while you chew.

Dana R. · 5 hours ago

So does this replace brushing? Asking for my husband who would 100% use it as an excuse lol

Natalie Brooks (Author) · Reply · 4 hours ago

Hi Dana, no. Keep brushing twice a day and flossing like normal. This is for the time in between, when you can't get to a toothbrush. Tell your husband nice try

Chris P. · Yesterday

does the jaw thing bother anyone? I already chew a lot of gum and my jaw gets tired

Natalie Brooks (Author) · Reply · Yesterday

Hi Chris, you don't have to chew for the full 30 minutes or have one after everything. If your jaw gets sore, cut back or take a break. If you already have jaw problems, check with your dentist first.

Hannah T. · Yesterday

I work in an office and there's no way I'm brushing my teeth in the work bathroom. I keep a box in my desk drawer and have one after lunch. My teeth feel clean all afternoon now instead of gross by 3pm.

Marcus L. · 2 days ago

I'm at 4 coffees a day, not proud of it. I chew one after each and my teeth are noticeably whiter than they were in the summer. Breath is way better on calls too. 7 weeks in.

Erin K. · 3 days ago

I have a 6 step skincare routine and never once thought about my teeth beyond brushing. This made so much sense to me. A month in and my teeth feel smooth like right after a cleaning, and iced coffee doesn't make me wince anymore.

Taylor G. · 3 days ago

is this just xylitol gum with a fancy ingredient? I already chew regular sugar free gum

Natalie Brooks (Author) · Reply · 3 days ago

Hi Taylor, it has xylitol, but regular gum doesn't have nano-hydroxyapatite, and most of it uses a synthetic gum base. This one uses natural resins like chicle and mastic.

Sophie W. · 4 days ago

My teeth were so sensitive I'd given up on whitening completely. Two months of chewing this after coffee and my teeth look whiter and cold drinks don't bother me anymore. Didn't expect both.
